StreetEats is a mobile platform designed to digitize and streamline the authentic Indian street food experience. By connecting local vendors with urban consumers through an intuitive interface, the project solves for accessibility and trust in a traditionally fragmented market. The goal was to translate the vibrant energy of street culture into a cohesive, high-performance digital brand. This project was developed independently as part of the Google UX Design Certificate program.

Understanding the Problem :
Street food enthusiasts face significant hurdles in enjoying authentic cuisine due to limited vendor information, persistent safety/hygiene concerns, and the absence of a dedicated digital ordering ecosystem. Despite the abundance of restaurant apps, the street vendor niche remained a void in the market.
Workflow :
Research: Identifying market gaps and user pain points.
Prototype: Developing functional models to test core features.
Design: Establishing a distinctive brand identity and user-centric architecture.
Test: Validating the experience through iterative feedback cycles.
User Research and Synthesis :
To build a user-centric solution, I conducted a series of primary and secondary research cycles, including user interviews and surveys. This allowed me to map the emotional and functional pain points of diverse diners.

The Strategy : Information Architecture and User Journey
The Information Architecture was developed to map a user’s complex journey from initial craving to final bite and simplify it into a high-conversion path. By structuring a logical hierarchy, I ensured that features like the "Discovery Engine" and "Order History" were accessible within two taps, reducing cognitive load and friction.

Strategic Features
StreetShare Community: A built-in social ecosystem where foodies share real-time updates and photos, turning a solo app experience into a communal event.
Hygiene Certification: A transparency-focused feature that displays safety ratings, bridging the trust gap between vendors and users.
Event Discovery: A map-based module designed for exploring local festivals and seasonal vendor pop-ups.

Visual Identity
The visual identity of StreetEats is a tribute to the vibrant streets of India. I aimed for a clean and bold aesthetic that felt modern enough for a tech-savvy audience but nostalgic enough to honor the source material.
Color Palette: The palette pays homage to hand-painted vendor carts rich Spice Red for energy, Twilight Yellow for warmth, and Fresh Blue for hygiene and trust.
Typography: I paired Druk Text Wide for bold, robust headlines that mirror the intensity of street flavors with DM Sans for a sleek, highly readable interface.
